Randwick – Race 5 2:20PM AEST
No. 1 King’s Legacy – Bet Now: $2.60
The Peter and Paul Snowden trained colt was very impressive when asked to do the chasing in the Inglis Sires’ when Prague kicked clear two weeks ago. He knuckled down to the tasked when he was asked and the rest of the field had every right to make up ground late. He is bred to run over distance and the 1600m is only an advantage for him.
Caulfield – Race 1 12:15PM AEST
EACH WAY: No. 4 Simply Optimistic – Bet Now: $5.00
Simply Optimistic had excuses first up when Michael Walker found plenty of trouble late in the race. He went into that assignment having not raced for almost a year and he will take sharp improvement from the run. He is a fantastic each way bet to start a great card at Caulfield.
Caulfield – Race 3 1:25PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 2 Pippie – Bet Now: $1.95
Pippie broke through for her maiden Group 1 when taking out the Oakleigh Plate and she has been racing consistently all throughout this prep. She loves Caulfield having won three from five at the track and she makes her own luck right on the speed. She really does look tough to beat.
Morphettville – Race 6 3:31PM AEST
No. 7 Sunlight – Bet Now: $2.50
Sunlight has been an incredibly consistent performer for connections over her career having won 11 times from 21 career race starts. She is a three time Group 1 winner and has won over $6.5 million in prize money. Her first up record doesn’t read well on paper however she was beaten only 0.3 lengths in the 2019 Black Caviar Lightning Stakes and she gets in well at the weights for this assignment.
