BEST BET: No. 6 Jami Lady – Bet Now: $2.60
Jami Lady is well-placed to make a winning return to the races on Stradbroke Handicap Day.
The Spirit Of Boom mare has recorded three wins from her past seven race starts and he first-up record is nothing short of outstanding.
Her barrier trial ahead of her return to the races was excellent and she ticks all the boxes for this contest.
Eagle Farm – Race 9 4:15PM AEST
No. 7 Aquitaine – Bet Now: $2.80
Aquitaine is the horse to beat in the Mick Dittman Plate.
She returned to the races with an excellent second place finish behind Fituese in the Denise’s Joy Stakes at Rosehill Gardens last start and there is no horse of that quality in this field.
The Exceed And Excel filly will take good benefit from that run and that will make her very tough to beat.
Randwick – Race 5 1:50PM AEST
No. 1 Catesby – Bet Now: $13.00
This is a very open race and Catesby is well and truly over the odds at his current price.
Catesby is capable of a high-rating performance on his day and he generally does produce his best form fresh.
His two barrier trial wins ahead of his return to the races were excellent and he is a much better chance than the market suggests.
Flemington – Race 8 4:00PM AEST
No. 10 Kenya– Bet Now: $4.80
It is no surprise that there has been a strong early move for Kenya.
Kenya will make his Australian racing debut for the Macedon Lodge stable and if he is able to produce the sort of form that he showed in the United Kingdom, he will prove far too strong for the rest of this field.
Barrier three is ideal and he maps to get a lovely run in transit with Jye McNeil in the saddle.
