No. 2 First Accused – Bet Now: $1.65

First Accused was beaten by Algernon last start, but the Turffontein gelding is well-placed to turn-the-tables on his rival in the Autumn Classic.

He was tough on the speed in that contest and he should take good improvement from that effort.

David Pires will take him straight to the front in the early stages of this race and he will give his rivals something to catch.

Hobart – Race 7 2:59PM AEST

No. 2 Ivoryman – Bet Now: $4.80

Ivoryman doesn’t win out of turn, but he is a consistent horse and he finds himself in a winnable race this afternoon.

He generally does race well at Hobart and barrier one is ideal as he should be able to find the lead fairly comfortably.

The Pins gelding will give his rivals something to chase with Tatum Bull in the saddle.

Hobart – Race 8 3:37PM AEST

BEST BET: No. 1 Galenus – Bet Now: $1.90

Galenus is a horse that I have a big opinion of and he has recorded five wins from his seven race starts.

There was plenty to like about his first-up and this race is no tougher.

He is another horse that makes his own luck right on the speed and he will give his rivals something to catch.

Hobart – Race 9 4:11PM AEST

No. 1 Red Roger  – Bet Now: $4.40

This is one of the most open races of the day and Red Roger is over the odds at his current price.

His one previous win did come first-up and I am confident that he is a better horse than his record suggests.
