Born Magic returned to the races with a credible second place finish at Launceston and if she is able to reproduce that sort of effort she will prove tough to beat.
She has won at Hobart in the past and she maps to get a lovely run in transit with Georgie Catania in the saddle.
This is her chance to return to winning form.

No. 1 Day Trader – Bet Now: $9.50
Day Trader is a lightly-raced seven-year-old that has not been seen at the races for some time, but he does have some ability.
He was able to show some potential during his maiden racing campaign back in 2018 and I was very taken with his barrier trial win at Hobart ahead of his return to the races.
This isn’t the strongest race and he might have more upside than some of his rivals in this field.

No. 1 Ascot Lad – Bet Now: $4.80
Ascot Lad is well-placed to make a winning return to the races at Hobart this afternoon.
He finished his debut racing campaign with an impressive win at Launceston and he has form around some of the best three-year-olds in Tasmania like Mystical Pursuit and Still A Star.
David Pires will settle him in the second half of the field from the wide barrier draw, but he will be storming home in the concluding stages.
