Horse Racing Tips & Best Bets – Sunday 2nd May, 2021

Sunday will see plenty of quality thoroughbred racing across the country with our focus being on the meeting at Hobart in Tasmania. Take a look at our horse racing tips and best bets for Sunday 2nd May, 2021.

Hobart – Race 4 1:25PM AEST

BEST BET: No. 1 Turk Warrior – Bet Now: $1.18

Turk Warrior just keeps on winning and he is deserving of his status as a dominant favourite for the Tasbred 2YO Classic.

He really hasn’t looked like getting beaten in any of his race starts and the scary thing for his rivals is that he still has the scope to improve.

Anything other than a comfortable victory would be a huge shock.

Hobart – Race 6 2:40PM AEST

No. 1 First Accused – Bet Now: $2.45

First Accused is well-placed to make a winning return to the races in the Tasbred 3YO Classic.

He finished third behind Swoop Dog in the Launceston Guineas and there is no horse of that quality in this field.

Barrier seven is ideal and he will have every possible chance in the run with David Pires in the saddle.

Hobart – Race 7 3:20PM AEST

No. 1 Yarra Master – Bet Now: $6.50

Yarra Master could hardly have been more impressive on debut and he did have genuine excuses when he was beaten in his second race start.

I am confident that he can bounce back from that flat effort and his debut effort does give him a genuine edge over the rest of this field.

He will make his own luck right on the speed and will give his rivals something to catch.

Hobart – Race 9 4:40PM AEST

No. 1 Sellick  – Bet Now: $3.20

Sellick has recorded two wins on the trot and there is no reason why he can’t continue his winning ways.

1400 metres does look like his pet trip and he hasn’t been beaten in his two starts at this distance, while he has proven he can carry a big weight.

Barrier four is perfect and he will have every possible chance in the run.
