Bendigo – Race 3 1:15PM AEST
EACH WAY: No. 7 Diamond Thora – Bet Now: $10.00
The favourite is far too short in the third event of the day at Bendigo this afternoon and I would recommend playing around it.
Diamond Thora has not been far away in her two runs to date and she looks better suited over the 1000m to my eye.
She represents good value.
Bendigo – Race 5 2:35PM AEST
EACH WAY: No. 7 Skilled Assassin – Bet Now: $13.00
Seven year old Skilled Assassin has been up since May and he should be plenty fit for this contest.
He finished just 1.1 length from the winner at Swan Hill over the 2400m last time out and although he has drawn an awkward alley, he can figure in the finish at a big price.
Bendigo – Race 6 3:15PM AEST
No. 3 Bastyan – Bet Now: $4.40
Bastyan returned to the races with a nice second at Donald before being freshened up and winning at The Valley over the 1000m.
He has been very consistent over his short racing career being unplaced just twice in nine starts and he can produce another good performance here.
Bendigo – Race 7 3:50PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 2 Tatunka – Bet Now: $2.80
Tatunka is a lightly raced five year old gelding who strung together three wins on the trot earlier this prep before stepping out in better company.
He was far from disgraced behind the smart Alsvin at The Valley last start and he will find this much easier.
He is the one to beat and my best of the day.
