Pakenham – Race 2 6:00PM AEST

No. 5 Distant Lover – Bet Now: $1.55

Distant Lover showed good improvement to finish second in her second race start at Pakenham and a repeat of that performance will make her tough to beat tonight.

She still has the upside to improve and on exposed form she does look to have a genuine class edge over the rest of this field.

Peter Moody has a strong hand at Pakenham tonight and Distant Lover can get him off to a strong start.

Pakenham – Race 4 7:00PM AEST

No. 3 Mugshot – Bet Now: $2.50

Mugshot is a much better horse than his last start effort at Moe suggests and I am willing to give him another chance in this contest.

He does have form surrounding some decent horses and he will make his own luck right on the speed with Celine Gaudray in the saddle.

This is not the strongest race and I think that Mugshot has some genuine upside.

Pakenham – Race 6 8:00PM AEST

BEST BET: No. 8 Dance To Dubai – Bet Now: $4.40

Dance To Dubai has an excellent chance to make a winning return to the races.

She only recorded one race win during her maiden racing campaign, but she has raced in stronger company than this and she has form around some strong horses.

The Pride Of Dubai filly has plenty of early speed and Luke Nolen will be able to settle her right on the speed.

Pakenham – Race 7 8:30PM AEST

No. 6 Kermy – Bet Now: $4.20

Kermy is a horse that I’ve always had an opinion of and he was nothing short of dominant at Pakenham last start.

This is a genuine step-up in quality and I am confident that he is good enough to get the job done.

The wide barrier draw isn’t ideal and he will need some luck in running, but Michael Poy in the saddle is a positive and he can ride the Kermadec gelding aggressively in the early stages of the race.
