No. 1 Ruddock – Bet Now: $1.90
Ruddock was beaten as a short-priced favourite at Doomben last start and he has an excellent chance to return to winning form this afternoon.
His two wins before that at Canterbury and Gosford were full of merit and on his best form he does look to have a genuine edge over the rest of this field.
James McDonald can ride him aggressively from barrier six and he will give his rivals something to catch.
Eagle Farm – Race 6 5:33PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 9 Lot’s Wife – Bet Now: $3.90
Luck in running is going to be key in this contest and Lot’s Wife maps to get a lovely run in transit with Robbie Fradd in the saddle.
Lot’s Wife won well at the Gold Coast first-up and she was caught wide when she finished fifth at Doomben last start.
On her best form she has an edge over the rest of this field and she is a good bet to return to winning form.
Eagle Farm – Race 7 6:07PM AEST
No. 2 Veranes – Bet Now: $SP.00
Veranes is a much better horse than her last start effort suggests an I am willing to give her another chance.
Her win before that at the Sunshine Coast was tough and a repeat of that sort of effort would make her very tough to beat.
Barrier seven is ideal and James McDonald in the saddle is a positive.
Eagle Farm – Race 8 6:38PM AEST
No. 7 Return With Honour – Bet Now: $3.70
Return With Honour doesn’t have a great record, but this looks like a nice race for him.
He has been racing well in tougher company than this and he is another horse that has the advantage of James McDonald in the saddle.
I am happy to take on Wolf Moon and Return With Honour could be the horse to beat him.
