No. 7 Singing Sword – Bet Now: $3.70
Singing Sword will need a touch of luck in running from the wide barrier draw, but she is still clearly the horse to beat in this contest.
She returned to the races with a tough effort at Sale and on exposed form she has a clear class edge over the rest of this field.
The Written Tycoon mare does have tactical versatility and Daniel Moor in the saddle is a positive.
Echuca – Race 2 2:00PM AEST
No. 1 Black Penn – Bet Now: $3.70
Black Penn made his racing debut with a promising effort at Ladbrokes Park Sandown and he should take plenty of benefit from that run.
This is not the strongest race in the world and the Written Tycoon gelding has the most upside of any other horse in this field.
He will settle in the second half of the field, but he will be storming home late.
Echuca – Race 7 4:30PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 10 Toffee Doll – Bet Now: $1.70
Toffee Doll is well-placed to make a winning return to the races at Echuca this afternoon.
She raced well without winning in both the Albury Guineas and the Bendigo Guineas and on exposed form she does have a class edge over the rest of this field.
Barrier four is ideal and she maps to get a lovely run in transit with Daniel Stackhouse in the saddle.
Echuca – Race 8 5:00PM AEST
No. 7 Abiding – Bet Now: $4.00
Abiding is over the odds at his current quote of $5.
He has shown some ability during his racing career to date and I liked his barrier trial at Gosford ahead of his return to the races.
Brett Prebble can ride him aggressively in the early stages of this contest and he will give his rivals something to chase.
