Horse Racing Tips & Best Bets – Thursday 18th March, 2021

Thursday will see plenty of quality thoroughbred racing across the country with our focus being on the meeting at Pakenham in Victoria. Take a look at our horse racing tips and best bets for Thursday 18th March, 2021.

Pakenham – Race 3 7:00PM AEST

No. 4 Big Friday – Bet Now: $2.00

Big Friday is deserving of his status as a dominant favourite for this contest.

He was only narrowly denied at Pakenham last start and a repeat of that effort would give him a genuine edge over the rest of this field.

Barrier six is ideal and he will have every possible chance with Luke Nolen in the saddle.

Pakenham – Race 6 8:30PM AEST

BEST BET: No. 7 Golden Loop – Bet Now: $17.00

Golden Loop is outstanding value at her current quote of $17 and she is a great each-way bet.

She showed plenty of promise during her maiden racing campaign and she always gave the impression that she would be better as an older horse.

Michael Dee can settle her right on the speed and she will be in the race for a long way.

Pakenham – Race 7 9:00PM AEST

No. 2 Boss’n The Moss – Bet Now: $7.50

Boss’n The Moss is the value runner in what is a very open race.

There is no doubt that he will take improvement from this run and likely be better over further, but I would not be surprised to see him go to another level this campaign.

He makes his own luck right on the speed and he is over the odds at his current quote.

Pakenham – Race 8 9:30PM AEST

No. 4 Mr Roger – Bet Now: $4.40

Mr Roger returned to the races with a good first-up effort and the step-up to a mile is ideal for him.

His one race win was over 1600 metres at Kilmore and he will get a lovely run in transit from barrier four with Jamie Mott in the saddle.

I would not be surprised to see Mr Roger in stronger races than this one.
