BEST BET: No. 1 Charles The Great – Bet Now: $3.20
Charles The Great found the line nicely on debut at Mornington and that looks set to be a fairly strong form race going forward.
He should take good improvement from that performance and he has the benefit of Damien Oliver in the saddle.
The Magnus gelding has an excellent chance to claim a maiden race win.
Pakenham – Race 5 8:00PM AEST
No. 1 Staredown – Bet Now: $1.95
Staredown has recorded two wins on the trot and there is no reason why he can’t continue his winning ways.
His last two wins have been nothing short of dominant and on his best form he does have a genuine class edge over the rest of this field.
Barrier one is ideal and he will have every possible chance in the run.
Pakenham – Race 7 9:00PM AEST
No. 6 Unique Bambino – Bet Now: $5.00
Unique Bambino has developed into a very consistent performer and he is outstanding value at his current quote of $9.50.
He has been unlucky not to record more race wins this campaign and this race really isn’t that much tougher than his recent starts.
Barrier five is ideal and there is no better each-way bet on the entire card.
Pakenham – Race 8 9:30PM AEST
No. 1 Falls – Bet Now: $2.60
Falls has proven to be a slightly frustrating horse for punters, but I am willing to give him another chance in this contest.
He does have form around some good horses and this is probably the worst race that he has contested in some time.
Barrier 11 isn’t ideal, but he does have Damian Lane in the saddle.
