Ballarat- Race 5 3:00PM AEST
No. 1 Choisborder – Bet Now: $3.40
Choisborder kicked off his campaign with placings at Ballarat and Sandown getting to within a length of the winner both times.
He did not handle the heavy track at Sandown last time out and he will appreciate the step up to 1400m at this stage in his prep.
Ballarat- Race 6 3:30PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 2 Seven Castles – Bet Now: $2.25
Seven Castles is a very progressive type of horse who has put in two excellent runs this prep so far.
He won at this track and distance first up before getting within 1.4 lengths of the winner at The Valley last time out.
He gets a lovely barrier for this contest and he really does look well placed to record another victory.
Ballarat- Race 7 4:00PM AEST
No. 3 Honorable Mention – Bet Now: $4.80
It has been a while in between wins for the five year old gelding Honorable Mention but his first up effort when running third at Pakenham was full of merit.
The money suggests that he will run well and he can get a lovely trail just in what looks like a pretty hot tempo up front.
Ballarat – Race 8 4:30PM AEST
No. 8 Flirting – Bet Now: $5.50
It took nine attempts for Flirting to break through for her maiden race win but she has been a consistent performer throughout her 11 start career.
She has just the one win to her name but she has missed the placings just twice and she maps to get a nice run in transit from the inside draw.
