Ascot Red has been very impressive when placing at his last two starts at The Valley and Swan Hill.
The son of Casino Prince has placed in exactly half (50%) of his 44 career race starts and he is well placed to win his eighth race in this contest.
Warrnambool – Race 5 3:00PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 2 Elderflower – Bet Now: $2.20
Elderflower has proven to be a very consistent short course specialist and has managed two wins and two placings in four runs so far this prep.
The four year old mare drops down in grade from her impressive win last start at Ballarat and Ms Tayla Childs will give her some weight relief with her claim.
Warrnambool – Race 7 4:00PM AEST
No. 1 Sahar – Bet Now: $SP.00
Sahar brings some pretty solid form over from New Zealand into his Australian debut and despite the poor barrier, he is every chance in a race of this quality.
He is better suited at the 1400/1600m in my opinion and he will not have a problem if there is some sting out of the ground.
Warrnambool – Race 8 4:30PM AEST
No. 1 Chortomic – Bet Now: $3.20
Chortomic could not have been more impressive when winning by over three lengths last start over the 1400m on the heavy surface.
Previous to that, he was only beaten 1.6 lengths at Caulfield in a higher grade and he looks the obvious choice in this event for mine.
Ms Tatum Bell will give him some weight relief with her claim.
