Wodonga – Race 3 2:00PM AEST
No. 8 Stern In Grinzing – Bet Now: $2.60
Stern In Grinzing has an excellent chance to record a maiden race win this afternoon.
She ran the fastest closing sectionals in the race when she finished fifth at Pakenham last start and she should take good improvement from that effort.
Jake Noonan can settle her closer to the speed from the inside barrier and she has the turn-of-foot to finish over the top of her rivals late.
Wodonga – Race 5 3:00PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 1 Valentina Star – Bet Now: $SP.00
I am still not sure how Valentina Star was beaten at Pakenham last start and I think that she can go one better at Wodonga this afternoon.
On her best form there is no doubt that the Your Song mare is the class galloper in this field and she maps to get a lovely run in transit from barrier three.
I am confident that she will end up in stronger races than this one.
Wodonga – Race 7 4:30PM AEST
No. 9 Frome The Stars – Bet Now: $4.20
Frome The Stars made a winning return to the races at Ballarat last start and there is no reason that she can’t make it two wins on the trot.
The step-up to 1300 metres is ideal for her and she has won second-up in the past.
The $4.80 currently available is well and truly over the odds and I expect her to start at a shorter price.
Wodonga – Race 9 5:00PM AEST
No. 3 Scarlett Heart – Bet Now: $4.20
There is not a huge amount of talent in this field and Scarlett Heart is the only horse with any real upside.
She never gave her rivals a chance when she led from start to finish at Ballarat last start and this field is no tougher.
Harry Coffey will take her straight to the front in the early stages of the race and she will give her rivals something to catch.
