No. 4 Michelin – Bet Now: $2.80
Michelin was beaten by Flying Agent at Ladbrokes Park Sandown last start, but he can turn-the-tables on his rival in this contest.
The step-up to 3400 metres should suit and on his best form he does have an edge over the rest of this field.
He is deserving of his status as a short-priced favourite.
Ballarat – Race 7 3:30PM AEST
No. 2 Choice Harvest – Bet Now: $11.00
This is an open race and Choice Harvest is a better chance than his current quote of $10 suggests.
The Choisir gelding went to another level at the end of his most recent campaign and he is a horse that has won first-up in the past.
He doesn’t win out of turn, but I am happy to gamble at the current quote.
Ballarat – Race 8 4:00PM AEST
No. 3 French Success – Bet Now: $3.20
French Success is a much better horse than her first-up effort at Ladbrokes Park Sandown suggests and she should take good improvement from that performance.
This race is a genuine drop in quality and Daniel Stackhouse will be able to settle French Success much closer to the speed than he did last start.
This is her chance to return to winning form.
Ballarat – Race 9 4:30PM AEST
No. 8 British Isle – Bet Now: $7.00
British Isle doesn’t win out of turn, but he finds himself in a very winnable contest at Ballarat this afternoon.
The majority of his best form has come at this venue and Jake Noonan should be able to ride him aggressively in the early stages of this contest.
He will give his rivals something to chase in what is an open race.
