Queen Of Rocks has an excellent chance to claim a maiden race win at Pakenham this afternoon.
She raced well in stronger company than this during the Autumn and she wasn’t beaten far at Group 2 level in the Sires’ Produce at Flemington.
William Pike in the saddle is a positive and she will have every possible chance in the run.
Pakenham – Race 5 3:00PM AEST
No. 7 Moeen – Bet Now: $4.80
Moeen really caught the eye with an impressive win at Pakenham on debut and I am confident that the Wandjina mare has plenty of upside.
The turn-of-foot that she showed in that contest was particularly impressive and she should take good improvement from that experience.
She will settle in the second half of the field again, but she will be storming home in the concluding stages.
Pakenham – Race 6 3:30PM AEST
No. 1 Kosowski – Bet Now: $1.95
Kosowski has been racing well without winning this campaign and looks set to be peak third-up this afternoon.
He has been beaten by small margins over 1000 metres in his past two starts and I like the fact that he has been kept at this distance.
Mikaela Lawrence will make his own luck right on the speed and he will give his rivals something to chase.
Pakenham – Race 7 4:00PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 2 Mistress Molly – Bet Now: $4.80
Mistress Molly doesn’t win out of turn, but she finds herself in a winnable contest at Pakenham this afternoon.
She ran the fastest closing sectionals in the race when she finished second behind My Bluewings last start and I don’t think there is a horse of that quality in this field.
