Horse Racing Tips & Best Bets – Tuesday 4th August, 2020

Tuesday will see a host of quality thoroughbred races across the country with our focus being on the meeting at Scone in New South Wales.  Take a look at our horse racing tips and best bets for Tuesday 4th August, 2020.

Scone – Race 4 3:05PM AEST

No. 3 Rubic Honour – Bet Now: $2.10

Rubic Honour is yet to break through for his maiden race win after four starts but this is a big drop down in class for the four year old gelding.

He was outclassed last time out at Rosehill but he will appreciate the drop back on grade for this assignment.

He is every chance from a good draw.

Scone – Race 5 3:40PM AEST

No. 2 Remlaps Gem – Bet Now: $2.45

Remlaps Gem won on debut over the 1000m at this track in June by a dominant 2.3 lengths.

The lightly raced four year old then stepped out over the 1100m and was far from disgraced running fourth.

He is better suited to the short course and I like the fact that he has had a trial (win) in between runs.

BEST BET: Scone – Race 6 4:20PM AEST

No. 10 Dream Song – Bet Now: $3.30

Dream Song has been racing very consistent;y this prep without winning.

She has been placed in four of her five runs this prep, her most recent a third at Taree when beaten by 1.6 lengths.

Andrew Gibbons will have plenty of options from the good barrier and she can break through for a much deserved win with even luck.

Scone – Race 7 4:55PM AEST

No. 1 Martinique – Bet Now: $5.00

Grey mare Martinique has won just three of her 20 career starts but she has been competitive in races of a higher quality than this one throughout.

She has had two impressive starts this prep so far and she will be ready to peak third up.

Young apprentice Dylan Gibbons gives the horse some weight relief and they will jump from barrier four.
