Norma Stars will need to overcome a wide barrier draw in this contest at Pakenham, but she still represents value at her current quote.

She returned to the races with a close third at Pakenham last start and the field that she faces this afternoon isn’t that much tougher.

I am confident that she is a better filly than her current record suggests and, with any luck in running, she should be in the finish.

Pakenham – Race 6 3:00PM AEST

No. 1 Atone – Bet Now: $5.00

This is an open race and there are a host of winning chances, but it is Atone that represents value at his current price.

He found the line nicely when he finished second behind El Phoenix at Pakenham last start and it was good to see him return to a semblance of his best form.

The wide barrier draw gives Matthew Cartwright options in the early stages of the race and he is over the odds at his current price.

Pakenham – Race 8 4:00PM AEST

BEST BET: No. 2 Brazen Brando – Bet Now: $3.20

Brazen Brando finished his Summer campaign with an impressive win at Mornington and he clearly has plenty of upside.

If he brings that sort of from to the races this afternoon he will prove very tough to beat and he has the benefit of Campbell Rawiller in the saddle.

Rawiller will take him straight to the front in the early stages of this race and he will give his rivals something to catch.

Pakenham – Race 9 4:30PM AEST

No. 10 Snowfire– Bet Now: $4.80

Snowfire is a lightly-raced galloper that still has plenty of upside.

He has recorded one win from his three race starts and he showed plenty of toughness to claim a maiden race win last campaign.

There is no doubt that he has more upside than the rest of this field and he should be able to make a winning return to the races.
