Next Step Berrima was slow out of the gates on debut at Geelong and that probably cost him victory.
He was able to find the line nicely in the concluding stages and he should take good improvement from that experience.
Barrier three is ideal and he is well-placed to score a maiden race win.
Pakenham – Race 6 3:20PM AEST
No. 4 All Of Brighton – Bet Now: $2.20
All Of Brighton has recorded two wins from his five race starts and he has generally raced in stronger company than this.
He was narrowly denied by Minhaaj at Caulfield a couple of starts ago and he didn’t have much luck at the same venue last start.
This is a genuine drop in class and on exposed form he has a genuine class edge over the rest of this field.
Pakenham – Race 7 3:55PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 3 Lady D’oro – Bet Now: $5.50
I am happy to take on Kurabui, despite having Jamie Kah in the saddle, and Lady D’oro is great value at her current price.
She returned to the races with a good second at Sale first-up and she has won second-up in the past.
The daughter of Medaglia D’oro has a sharp turn-of-foot and and she is well-placed to return to winning form.
Pakenham – Race 8 4:30PM AEST
No. 3 Skywolf – Bet Now: $7.50
Skywolf returned to the races with a tough win at Pakenham and it would not surprise to see him go to another level this campaign.
Barrier one is ideal and Jye McNeil should be able to settle him right on the speed.
He should have a genuine headstart over Bermadez and he can knock off the short-priced favourite.
