Randwick – Race 3 2:00PM AEST
No. 7 Night Witches – Bet Now: $4.20
I have quite a high opinion of the grey filly Night Witches who has a lot more upside than others in this race. She runs into a pretty hot little race here which will be a test however she has a big pull in the weights and will appreciate the step up in distance. She can get a lovely run in transit just behind the leaders from barrier four and she will be pouncing late.
Randwick – Race 6 3:45PM AEST
No. 1 Super Ex – Bet Now: $2.30
Super Ex has been racing well so far this prep without winning however I think he is well placed in this contest this afternoon. He was narrowly denied by Indy Car last start at this track and distance and although he is being being asked to carry the big weight, he will get some relief with the Robbie Nolan claim. He has drawn the inside barrier and has been very well supported in early betting.
Randwick – Race 7 4:20PM AEST
No. 2 Lifetime Quest – Bet Now: $5.00
Lifetime Quest from the Kris Lees stable rises sharply in weight from his last start 8th at Newcastle where they went a little quick up front and were swamped late. He is a horse with some ability who has won at this grade before and he will appreciate the step up to 1400m. He has drawn perfectly in barrier two with Hugh Bowman on top and will be tough to beat.
Geelong – Race 1 12:30PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 5 Fixated – Bet Now: $2.70
The Hayes and Dabernig team has dropped this talented colt considerably in grade here to try and win his maiden and I think he looks the winner. He was only narrowly denied by a pretty smart one in Forever Free at Bendigo last start and I don’t think the 1200m will be an issue at this grade. He is my best of the day.
