No. 6 Cru Classe – Bet Now: $2.00

Cru Classe did enough on debut to suggest that she has some ability and she finds herself in a very weak maiden at Ballarat this afternoon.

She found the line nicely in her first race start and she gives the impression that the step-up in trip will suit.

There is no horse in this field with anywhere near as much upside and she should prove too strong for this field.

Ballarat – Race 5 2:45PM AEST

No. 1 Lido Beach – Bet Now: $SP.00

Lindsey Smith has the favourite Sacred Palace in this field, but I think that Lido Beach is the value runner in this field.

Lido Beach has improved each time that he has been seen at the races this preparation and he has won third-up in the past.

$7.50 is a great price in what is a much more open race than the current market suggests.

Ballarat – Race 7 3:55PM AEST

BEST BET: No. 4 Stardayz – Bet Now: $6.00

Stardayz has been racing well this campaign and she finds herself in a very winnable contest at Ballarat this afternoon.

She has form around some good horses this preparation and I like the fact that she has stayed at 1400 metres.

Barrier three is ideal for her and she should have every possible chance with Josh Richards in the saddle.

Ballarat – Race 8 4:30PM AEST

No. 1 Garimpeiro – Bet Now: $3.90

Garimpeiro returned to the races with a close second place finish at Donald and a repeat of that effort would have him right in the mix.

He has generally raced in stronger company than this and on exposed form he does look to have a genuine class edge.

$4.60 is a big price and I am surprised that he isn’t a dominant favourite.
