Royal Gun Salute won well at Pakenham a couple of starts ago and he didn’t have any luck in running at The Valley on December 11.

The Shooting To Win gelding clearly has ability and on his exposed form he does look to have an edge over the rest of this field.

Barrier nine is slightly tricky, but I still think that he is a good bet at the current quote.

Sandown – Race 6 6:25PM AEST

No. 7 High ‘N’ Dry – Bet Now: $3.40

High ‘N’ Dry doesn’t win out of turn, but this does look like a nice race for him.

There was plenty to like about the way that he found the line at Ladbrokes Park Sandown last start and he has won second-up in the past.

Barrier four is ideal and he will have every possible chance in the run.

Sandown – Race 7 7:00PM AEST

No. 3 Tarn’s Prince – Bet Now: $5.50

Tarn’s Prince looks to have gone to another level this campaign and he can make it two wins on the trot.

He found the line nicely first-up at Pakenham and he was able to improve on that effort to win second-up.

The step-up to 2100 metres is ideal and he will get a lovely run in transit with Will Price in the saddle.

Launceston – Race 8 7:30PM AEST

No. 8 Platini – Bet Now: $SP.00

Platini is well-placed to make a winning return to the races at Ladbrokes Park Sandown this afternoon.

He showed plenty of promising during his maiden racing campaign and he gave the impression that he would improve with more racing under his belt.

Jamie Kah in the saddle is a big positive and barrier one is ideal.
