No. 2 Chief Altony – Bet Now: $2.70
Chief Altony has not missed the placings in any of his seven race starts and he has an excellent chance to return to winning form in this contest.
He chased home the promising Stuchbree Stamp at The Valley last start and there is no horse of that quality in this field.
The Rebel Raider gelding will settle in the second half of the field, but he will be storming home late.
Sandown – Race 3 2:55PM AEST
No. 4 Better Kick – Bet Now: $3.50
Better Kick has gone to another level this campaign and he can make it two wins on the trot this afternoon.
He bolted in to win by almost three lengths at Wangaratta last start and he still has the scope to improve on that performance.
It is no surprise that he has been well-backed early.
Sandown – Race 6 4:40PM AEST
No. 4 Campese – Bet Now: $4.60
Campese will need some luck in running from the wide barrier draw, but I still think that he is the horse to beat in this contest.
He won first-up at Bendigo in impressive fashion and he was far from disgraced at the same venue last start.
The form coming out of that race has been strong and Campese can return to winning form.
Sandown – Race 8 5:50PM AEST
No. 10 Indiana Lilly – Bet Now: $14.00
I am confident that Indiana Lilly is going better than her recent form suggests.
She had no luck in running in the Melbourne Cup Carnival Country Final at Flemington on Oaks Day and she was outclassed in the Summoned Stakes.
This is a drop in class and she represents great value at $18.
