BEST BET: No. 10 Magnolia Rose – Bet Now: $7.00
I remain confident that Magnolia Rose is a better filly than her record suggests and she represents genuine value at $7 in what is far from the strongest race.
She has improved each time that she has been seen at the races and the step-up to 1600 metres is ideal for her.
Barrier five suits and she should have every possible chance in the run.
Ballarat – Race 4 3:20PM AEST
No. 1 Wilmot Pass – Bet Now: $6.50
This is a genuine drop in class for Wilmot Pass and he has form around a number of classy gallopers.
1200 metres is his pet distance and on his best form he does look to have a genuine class edge over the rest of this field.
He will need some luck in running from the wide barrier draw, but he still represents genuine value at his current quote.
Ballarat – Race 5 3:55PM AEST
No. 5 Bossy Chloe – Bet Now: $4.50
Bossy Chloe showed plenty of toughness to win at Mornington last start and a repeat of that effort would make her very tough to beat.
The Street Boss filly still has upside and the drop back to 1100 metres should prove ideal for her.
Ballarat – Race 7 5:05PM AEST
No. 13 Under My Spell – Bet Now: $3.40
Under My Spell returned to the races with a good second behind Zousonic at Ladbrokes Park Sandown last start and she should take good improvement from that performance.
She is a mare with plenty of tactical versatility and she will be able to settle just behind the leaders with Michael Dee in the saddle.
I think she is a filly with plenty of ability and I wouldn’t be surprised to see her end up in stronger races than this one.
