BEST BET: No. 5 Ord – Bet Now: $3.80

Chestnut gelding Ord has been excellent in both his race starts at Wodonga and Geelong.

He was game in defeat when wearing the blinkers for the first time last start behind the smart Ocean Beyond who then went on to win at Listed level at The Valley.

Sandown – Race 4 4:05PM AEST

No. 6 Rutherford – Bet Now: $4.80

Rutherford could not have been any more impressive when winning first up at Geelong.

The four year old gelding by Foxwedge won by 2.5 lengths and was eased down on the line.

He drops down 3kg for this assignment and if Matt Allen can kick him to the front from the inside barrier, he will be tough to run down.

Sandown – Race 5 4:40PM AEST

No. 6 Sea Princess – Bet Now: $7.00

Sea Princess did plenty wrong in the run when over racing during the middle stages at Wangaratta but she was still able to break her maiden.

She knuckled down to the task late in the race and showed her turn of foot to win impressively.

I think she can string a couple of wins together now and with Jamie Kah steering from barrier four, she represents good value.

Sandown – Race 6 5:15PM AEST

No. 9 Lady D’oro – Bet Now: $4.80

It was a pretty smart win by Lady D’oro at Traralgon first up over the 1100m, when she circled the field heading around the bend to score fairly easily going over the line.

Second up in her debut prep she finished second behind a pretty smart one in Ancestry, beaten just over a length and it wouldn’t surprise to see her improve sharply stepping up in distance for this race.
