Ice Ice Baby has only recorded one win from his seven race starts, but he has generally raced in stronger company than this.
He has form around some quality horses and he should get a lovely run in transit with Jamie Kah in the saddle.
This is an open race and the $5.50 available for Ice Ice Baby is over the odds.
Sandown – Race 6 4:50PM AEST
No. 6 Perfect Illusion – Bet Now: $8.50
Perfect Illusion doesn’t win out of turn, but he finds himself in a winnable contest at Ladbrokes Park Sandown this afternoon.
He failed to fire in the Albury Gold Cup, but he is a better horse than that performance suggests and his form before that was excellent.
This is an open race and there is no reason that he can’t be right in the mix at a nice price.
Sandown – Race 7 5:30PM AEST
No. 8 Deepstrike – Bet Now: $5.00
Deepstrike returned to the races with a nice win at Pakenham and it would not surprise if he is able to go on with the job this campaign.
The step-up to 1800 metres looks ideal and he does have an excellent turn-of-foot.
The Tavistock gelding will be storming home late.
Sandown – Race 9 6:30PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 14 Pinkham – Bet Now: $4.20
There has been plenty of hype surrounding Pinkham, but there is still a nice price available for him to return to winning form at Ladbrokes Park Sandown this afternoon.
She wasn’t beaten far by La Mexicana in the Kevin Hayes Stakes and she wasn’t beaten far in the Incognitus Stakes.
This is a drop in class and she maps to get a lovely run in transit.
