BEST BET: No. 5 Yulong Code – Bet Now: $2.40

Yulong Code made his debut for the Peter Moody stable with a credible sixth place finish in the Autumn Stakes at Caulfield and this is a genuine drop in class.

He showed a nice turn-of-foot in that contest and I think he will be able to settle closer to the speed from barrier one.

I think he can win this race comfortably and I expect to see him in stronger races than this one.

Sandown – Race 4 4:50PM AEST

No. 10 Home Rule – Bet Now: $3.50

Home Rule has shown plenty of ability during his racing career to date and he is a gelding that clearly has plenty of upside.

He ran serious time when he won at Warrnambool last start and there is no doubt that he has speed to burn.

The step-up to 1200 metres is an issue, but his breeding suggests that it won’t be a problem.

Sandown – Race 7 6:30PM AEST

No. 1 Biometric – Bet Now: $6.00

It has been a while between race wins for Biometric, but he does find himself in a winnable contest at Ladbrokes Park Sandown this afternoon.

He wasn’t beaten far in the Carlyon Cup and he has generally raced in stronger company than this.

Barrier 12 isn’t ideal, but he does have the benefit of Damien Oliver in the saddle.

Sandown – Race 8 7:00PM AEST

No. 9 Sign Of Ussuri – Bet Now: $11.00

This is a tricky way to finish the day, but Sign Of Ussuri does look well and truly over the odds at his current quote.

He has won first-up in the past and he has produced a couple of high-rating performances during his racing career to date.

His best form would have him right in the mix at very juicy odds.
