No. 7 Elegant Grace – Bet Now: $4.60
Elegant Grace is a lightly raced four year old mare from the Kris Lees stable who has mansged two wins and three minor placings from nine career race starts.
She gets very similar conditions to her last start fourth behind Celtic Love at this track and distance and she should be plenty fit for this assignment.
Canterbury – Race 5 3:10PM AEST
EACH WAY: No. 8 Kawaikini – Bet Now: $18.00
The fifth event of the day at Canterbury is quite an open betting race with many chances.
Kaiwakini ticks a lot of boxes in the race and is worth an each way bet.
She races well fresh, handles the heavy going and Ms Louise Day will use her claim to give the mare every chance.
She will need to pace on up front but she represents great value at the double figures.
Canterbury – Race 6 3:45PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 5 Emeralds – Bet Now: $3.00
Emeralds has performed well in Group company in the past including a very impressive fifth behind Flit in the Group 2 Light Finger last prep.
She got a long way back first up over the 1100m but she was doing her best work late and will appreciate the step up to 1250m for this assignment.
Canterbury – Race 7 4:20PM AEST
No. 5 Dio D’oro – Bet Now: $5.50
The Gary Portelli trained Dio D’oro is more than capable in this grade of racing and the 1550m looks ideal for him at this stage of his prep.
He has been racing very consistently throughout this prep and he will appreciate the step back in class for this.
