RACE 1 NO.4 CONQUERMORE
CONQUERMORE at only her second start and her first start this preparation she was able to win with ease over 800m at Kilcoy when showing blistering speed. At her latest run she began poorly putting her in an awkward spot yet she did a good job to finish third beaten less than three lengths. I expect her to jump better today and settle handy especially up to the 1200m and if that happens she will be right in the finish.
RACE 2 NO.2 RIDGWAY
RIDGWAY is a five-year-old having raced 13 times for five placings but he is yet to record that all important maiden win. He resumes this time having been gelded and looked the part in a recent barrier here a fortnight ago. This is his big chance to get that maiden win and go on with it especially having drawn a perfect gate and with Jeff Lloyd doing the steering.
RACE 5 NO.4 ABSTAIN
ABSTAIN should be ready to fire being third up this preparation coming off a terrific effort here two weeks ago when coming from a mile back to be beaten under two lengths after drawing a wide gate and being ridden cold. From an ideal gate today she should be able to settle closer leaving her not as much to do which should ensure she is in the money.
