THE PASSAGE has been flying down in Melbourne having finished in the first three at his past five starts including a well deserved win last start at Sandown over 1800m. He steps up in grade here and drops back to the mile which I think he is far better suited at and from an ideal barrier he looks to stalk the leaders in a race that lacks speed to a degree.

MULTAJA burst onto the scene back in April albeit at Werribee with an impressive maiden win when having to work in the run. Three weeks ago she stepped out for her next start here and was most impressive winning at the 1000m but it was the way she attacked and went through the line suggesting the step up to 1200m won’t be an issue. From an ideal gate Dwayne Dunn should be able to stalk the speed and then allow her to take the next step in her career.
