Richie’s tips @ Kembla Grange

KEMBLA GRANGE

TUESDAY 29 MAY

TRACK:     GOOD 4                                          RAIL:    +3M

BEST BETS:

RACE 3                        NO.4    SUPERIOR CHOICE

SUPERIOR CHOICE has done enough in her two official barrier trials to suggest she will be hard to hold out here on debut in what looks just an average provincial maiden. The filly has looked very new early in the early part of her trials which the addition of blinkers for her debut will hopefully help her. From a good gate and Blake Shinn aboard she should settle reasonably handy and be hard to beat.

RACE 6                        NO.2    KAAPFEVER

KAAPFEVER is getting close to breaking his maiden and hopefully that will happen this afternoon against only what I would describe as a fair bunch. Kaapfever was good at Gosford and Wyong running a place back in March and April before having a five week break. On resumption he was ridden aggressive early and failed to find the line before returning to be ridden back and he found the line powerfully to run second at Newcastle. From the awkward gate today he will go back and hopefully with an even tempo he can charge hard late and run over them.
