WA Sires’ Produce Stakes Free Tips, Bets and Field Preview – 2020

The Champagne Stakes and The Showdown headline Saturday’s two-year-old feature racing on the east coast, the Group 3 WA Sires’ Produce Stakes will also be run and won in the nation’s west.

Only nine juveniles have been confirmed for a start, but there are some seriously exciting prospects engaged, and it looms as an outstanding contest.

WA Sires’ Produce Stakes – Winner

No. 5 Watch Me Dance – Bet Now: $SP.00

Watch Me Dance has been a model of consistency this time and the WA Sires’ Produce looks the perfect race for her. The I’m All The Talk filly hasn’t missed a place in five career starts – stamping herself as one to watch with an easy win at Bunbury on debut and only improving with each start and as the bar has been raised. She only just missed in the Group 2 Karrakatta Plate a couple of weeks ago and is primed to win this.

WA Sires’ Produce Stakes – 2nd

No. 6 American Choice – Bet Now: $SP.00

American Choice wasn’t as impressive in the Karrakatta Plate, but her form prior to that race was competitive and I think that she’s up to something better in the Sires’ Produce. The Simon Miller-trained filly has recorded a win and four minors from only seven career starts so far, resuming this time for second in the Listed Supremacy Stakes and running less than half a length fourth in the Group 3 Gimcrack. She looks ready to peak in condition and will be ridden by Willie Pike.

WA Sires’ Produce Stakes – 3rd

No. 1 Dom To Shoot – Bet Now: $SP.00

Dom To Shoot is another horse that failed to fire in the Karrakatta Plate, but whom was also racing in top order prior to that hit-out. The Shooting To Win gelding was a smart winner here at Ascot in early Feb; running second to Watch Me Dance over 1200m and winning again leading into his last-start flop. Patrick Carbery has options from the rails draw and it would be surprising to see the horse in the finish.

WA Sires’ Produce Stakes – 4th

No. 7 Precautionary – Bet Now: $SP.00

Precautionary could not have been more luckless in the Karrakatta Plate and I am more than happy to put a line through the run. The Fred Kersley-trained filly has otherwise shown promise, and while she is yet to break her maiden, there is absolutely no doubt that a win is just around the corner. She’d need to go to another level to beat a couple of these at this point of her career, but she should have conditions to suit and can make a race of it.
