BEST BETS:

Race 2             No.2     TOUCH OF MINK

Race 4             No.10   MAZAZ

Race 1

9 – 1 –11 – 3

COUVRE LIT did enough in her trial to suggest she has ability and with a stack of speed engaged here she looks to get a spot behind and one thing she looks to posse is a turn of speed. Venom was good on debut and with race experience and now the addition of blinkers she looks a player. Adana hasn’t been let go in her trials and from barrier one here she should enjoy a soft run. She cost seven figures and the raps have been quietly bubbling along. Black Haze didn’t have much luck on debut so he can improve here while Dio D’Oro has run well in two quality races and now gets the blinkers to help.

Race 2

2 – 3 – 1 – 4

TOCUH OF MINK is yet to win from seven starts but she has raced against some quality opposition in her career so hopefully today is the day she cast aside her maiden status. Her first trial this time in was outstanding and with good speed expected here even from the small field she should stalk and get the chance to run over them. Pretentious Man is on debut and the raps are good so he must be given some chance while Primitivo has been beaten at his two starts but handy ones so he looks capable here of playing a role.

Race 3

3 – 1 – 4 – 5

DEITY won impressively at Wyong at her second career start albeit she beat an ordinary bunch but it was the fashion in which she won running the last 600m in a slick 33.42. With only a small field she should be able to find a spot on-pace and be hard to beat. Sheikha comes through a far better race behind Charlayne and from a better barrier could well take control early and be hard to run down. Ready For Love is a handy filly and looks the biggest danger to the other two fancies.

Race 4

10 – 1 – 11 – 9

It was cruel when we tipped MAZAZ last start at $15 and he should have won but anyway I am sticking solid and as long as Brenton Avdulla gets him wound up he will take plenty of holding out. Hurricane Harbour was very good here two runs back over this course and distance and with the lack of speed he could well and truly find the front and be hard to get past. Forget last Friday nights run when he got back he can bounce back.

Race 5

2 – 8 – 1 – 7

AQUATICE won his second race from 22 starts last Friday night in strong fashion and looks the one to beat here. The lack of speed in a worry but as long as he settles and can work into the race at his tempo he will be hard to hold out. It’s A Lottery will carry no weight and can race handy and just off the back of his last start third at Rosehill in a Highway he can figure here. Balius could well lead with no speed on paper and therefore is the value for the exotics. If Sir Barb produced his best he’d take plenty of holding out.

Race 6

2 – 5 – 3 – 7

ONCE MORE A LADY chased a hot speed first up then did a good job holding off the handy Missile Coda in the run home here over today’s course and distance. He looks to get a similar run today and looks hard to toss. Artemis Rose looks the big query being first up here for four months and having switched from the Hawkes stable to the Snowden’s. Her recent barrier trial was good so keep safe.

Race 7

3 – 1 – 5 – 2

Not a race that enthuses me but I’ve settle on RAIDEN who from gate one should get the good run. He’s been gelded since last preparation and his trials this time in have been solid. Johnny Roo Boy was ok here last start when deep and chasing throughout but today the tempo looks slower that should enable him to settle on-pace and give a sight. Centro Superior is better over a little further so look for him charging hard late.

Race 8

10 – 1 – 7 – 5

MAHALANGUR has always shown good ability right from his debut run when he defeated The Avenger and Shooting To Win before racing well in a group three at his second start. This preparation he was solid enough when fourth here and should strip fitter today and from a good gate looks to get a perfect tagging spot. Ghostly got all the favours last start but was good enough to get the job done while Witches is flying and just needs an even tempo to be hard to hold out late.
