RACE 1 NO.7 ROTATOR
I believe only inexperience and a glorious run through from the winner cost ROTATOR getting the money on debut in the group 3 Widden Stakes a fortnight ago. I don’t see this race any harder and with that run under her belt and having drawn a perfect gate to tag the speed she only needs to repeat the debut run and she will be hard to hold out.

RACE 2 NO.10 PORTMAIN
Astute former city trainer Tim Donnelly did a marvellous job to get the French bred galloper PONTMAIN to win on debut at his home track at Wagga last month. He is a striking individual and an exciting staying prospect for Donnelly and the owners Tony and Bill Barton. I thought maybe a few easy kills around home and then maybe a trip to the provincials but Donnelly is heading straight to town for a Highway and after seeing Tycoon Dreaming win at Albury last week who could blame him. Tycoon Dreaming ran second to Portmain and at his very next start produced one of the easiest wins I’ve seen. With a drop from 59kg to 53kg and Kerrin McEvoy to steer I say he’s a good gamble.
