Tosen Stardom wins the G1 Emirates Stakes

Tosen Stardom has produced a late run to win the $2 million Emirates Stakes and claim his second Group One win of the Melbourne spring carnival.

Standing his rivals a start and caught behind horses at the 200m, Tosen Stardom ($6.50) took a split wide out on the track to beat Happy Clapper ($8) and It’s Somewhat ($18).

“I would have been a good thing beaten if he didn’t get out,” winning jockey Damian Lane said.
