Chris Waller could field a powerful line-up in the Underwood Stakes at Caulfield as he looks to go back-to-back in the Group 1.

Last year’s winner Buckaroo will return over 1800m, joined by Anisette and Moira, with Land Legend and River Of Stars also in the mix.

Waller was pleased with Buckaroo’s third in the Memsie Stakes (1400m), calling it “an awesome return”. He added, “He’s had a trial and the 1800 metres of the Underwood should suit him perfectly.”

Anisette resumes after finishing sixth in the P B Lawrence Stakes (1400m) and a recent Flemington jump-out. Moira, meanwhile, has shown promise with strong runs in both the Lawrence and So You Think Stakes.

River Of Stars and Land Legend are being aimed at the Caulfield Cup, with River Of Stars also considered a potential Melbourne Cup contender.
