Race 1

2 – 1 – 5 – 7

BRILLIANT CHOICE did a good job on debut when narrowly beaten by I think a group horse in Maid Of Heaven and with that run under his belt he should take some catching here. Adana gets the blinkers which should help bring out his best and that may well be plenty to get the job done. Vega One resumes and if he is back in good order and judging by the ability he showed he must be thought of as a major player.

Race 2

3 – 2 – 5 – 6

MATOWI comes through the same race behind Maid Of Heaven and I think the step up to the mile here is right up his alley and from gate one he should lob straight in the perfect trailing position. Tarka is already a winner at this course and distance six weeks ago and a repeat of that run you would imagine will have him right around the mark. I’d be surprised if one those two doesn’t win.

Race 3

8 – 4 – 1 – 3

There looks a nice tempo here which should allow Deity to settle off the pace and charge at them. She resumes here off a nice trial and if she is going places as I expect she will need to account for these. Excellent Design is a winner here and looks ready with two solid barrier trials. Once More A Lady has been freshened and has the class to be a major player.

Race 4

5 – 2 – 6 – 4

CORNITH had no luck at Canterbury last start when wide throughout only to get run down late and although drawn deep here the tempo of the 2200m should help him here. He is no star but he is still improving and it’s that upward spiral that will have him hard to toss here. The stablemates Allcash will be running on while Cormac must also be considered especially if he decides he wants to win. More Moet got back in the winner’s circle last start and a repeat will have him a player again.

Race 5

6 – 1 – 3 – 5

MAKDANIFE had his first start in Australia a fortnight ago and never really travelled when caught wide yet he kept finding the line to beaten just on a length. That run is sure to have bought him on which should make him hard to hold out this afternoon. Amanito did enough first up here when finding the line and with that run under his belt he is sure to be a player here. Love Shack Baby did a good job winning at Wyong last start beating a few handy ones and will settle on-pace here and make his own luck.

Race 6

7 – 4 – 10 – 11

BULL MARKET has been solid in both runs this preparation running second over 1200m then again last Wednesday when third behind Star Of The Seas over 1250m. The step up to 1400m and being third up looks ideal so it’s an important day as he should be running at his best. Impasse was most impressive here three weeks ago and if he can repeat that he may be too good while the stablemate Scream Park is second up and could beat these but he is better with some rain around. Seaglass and Dancers are both major players against this class of opposition.

Race 7

1 – 4 – 9 – 3

MAN OF CHOICE is stepping out for the first time under the care of Brad Widdup and looks well and truly capable of winning judging by two solid trials in the past month. He has been allotted 64kg but with the claim for Brock Ryan he’ll only carry 61kg and against this class I say he will be right in the mix and at double figure odds he’s a good gamble. Coruscate is first up but has trialled very well and if he gets luck from the wide gate he will be hard to hold out. Under The Thumb was very good first up at Coffs Harbour and from gate one here he should get a nice soft run in transit.
