PALMATEER has been close in her three runs since returning to Sydney and gets her chance to record another win here. She drops in grade here but will carry the same weight as her previous run with the claim for Sam Weatherly and from barrier two she should stalk the speed and I think be too strong late.
RACE 3 NO.1 SCRATCHES
Surely SCRATCHES looks the winner here coming off solid form in better races than she lines up against this afternoon. She is a relatively lightly raced staying mare having only started 11 times but she is showing she has plenty more wins in store. I doubt the step from 1900m to today’s trip of 2130m will pose any issues and with Bowman steering she should be able to round her opposition up.
