Weeping Woman ($2.60 fav) claimed her first black-type success, wearing down stablemate Coal Crusher ($6) to take top honours in the sprint.

The result followed closely after Estadio Mestalla ($9.50) finished runner-up behind Yorkshire in the $2 million The Ingham (1600m).

Earlier, The Black Cloud ($3.30 fav) struck in the Listed Bribie Handicap (1000m) at Eagle Farm.

Private Eye ($2.20 fav) narrowly missed delivering a three-state feature treble when beaten late in The Supernova (1400m) at Pakenham.

With Pride in Victoria, Orla Pearl represented the stable in Sydney.
