Trainer Chris Waller has nominated seven high-profile horses for the inaugural All-Star Mile at Flemington but champion Winx is not among them.

With 10 of the 14 places in the March 16 race to be decided by public vote, Waller says he and Winx’s owners have decided it would not be fair to enter the mare when she was unlikely to run.

He said if circumstances changed and something went wrong with Sydney plans, they could seek one of four wild card entries to the race for which the stable has nominated The Autumn Sun, D’Argento, Shillelagh, Unforgotten, Ancient Spirit, Tom Melbourne, and Kaonic.
