Unbeaten filly Without Parallel will make her Sydney debut at Rosehill on Saturday, aiming to strengthen her claims for a slot in the $2 million The Kosciuszko.
Trainer Matt Dunn has followed a proven path, campaigning the rising four-year-old in Saturday-grade Brisbane races before targeting a Highway Handicap (1200m).
“She fits the mould really well,” Dunn said.
The filly won her first two starts in the NSW Northern Rivers before a break and returned with a strong all-the-way win at Eagle Farm.
A heavy track looms this weekend, but Dunn believes her racing style and action should see her handle the going.
“She’s a speed horse that gets a good 1200 so that’s part of the reasoning why she’s in Sydney this week,” he said.
Stablemate Vivika is also in the Kosciuszko mix, heading to Eagle Farm on Saturday with hopes of securing her second win this campaign.
“She’s a sharp filly,” Dunn said.
Meanwhile, Dunn confirmed import Sea King remains on track for a summer return from injury.
