Work to begin at Eagle Farm

Remedial work on the Eagle Farm racetrack course proper is set to begin.

Contractor FKG has made preparations for the work on the track which has been closed since May when it was deemed unsuitable for racing.

Work is scheduled to begin on Friday with sections of the existing top layer of the track to be removed before preparation of a profile for the new turf.

Racing Queensland met with the Queensland branch of the Australian Trainers Association this week and assured them a return to Eagle Farm racing was still planned for the end of April.

A track remediation project control group is collaborating on all aspects of the project.
