Ladbrokes Park Sandown Hillside Wednesday, August 23
Back to Hillside and a starting Soft 5 but the forecast is for a drizzly Wednesday and the rail out its widest 14m possible. That’s not to underplay the norm at these Wednesday meetings this time of year – some promising pretenders to spring features and at this meeting some drop back Saturday from. Attractive betting dare I say.
BEST BET: Race 6 #11 EURACK – One of the only progeny of the Danehill Dancer former Hong Kong sprinter Oneworld who had infertility problems. Bred and raced by petrol tanker driver Joe Drape, he named the filly after the town where he lives near Colac and she absolutely looks the part. The second win was better than the first and we are hoping the third win happens with the little effort here.
BEST VALUE: Race 5 #9 TIME FOR DANCING– Comes off two BM58 wins for a trainer you’ve probably never heard of (Margot Mcdougal – it’s her only horse) and form on heavy and synthetic tracks but can’t deny she is flying and worth a gamble in evenly graded BM64 (spread just BM61-BM66).
TIPS:
Race 1: 15-9-12-8 (deep start BOUWMEESTER been gelded/gear changes but many chances)
Race 2: 1-3-2-4 Saturday from here and claim looks good SHEER MADNESS but not clear cut.
Race 3: 9-5-4-10 This should have won the last start PRETTY MAMA (it was ugly), stick.
Race 4: 2-6-4-5 Saturday form again and so enticing for INVICTUM DOMINA (gear change)
Race 5: 9-6-5-14 Banking on form equalling value TIME FOR DANCING
Race 6: 11-9-12-7 Good race but this EURACK is a good horse. Remains unbeaten.
Race 7: 9-4-5-10 BRAHMOS ran up to market on debut. Expected to do so again.
Race 8: 14-9-2-3 Few skinny quaddie legs before PABLO’S EXPRESS goes top pick wide.
