Peter Snowden is hoping to keep his winning streak alive at Randwick this Saturday, with Cassiel looking to extend his unbeaten campaign.

The four-year-old was withdrawn from Wednesday’s Canterbury meeting due to the heavy track, with Snowden opting instead for the firmer surface in the 1000m The Agency Real Estate Handicap.

“It was a heavy nine (at Canterbury). I almost went with him but I thought, if he got beaten a head at Canterbury and it was a good four on Saturday, I’d be kicking myself,” Snowden said.

“He’s a nice horse. Still learning but he is starting to put it all together now… He’s a chance on Saturday.”

Cassiel has won both starts this prep, leading all the way at Canterbury before repeating the effort at Hawkesbury.

The Snowden yard is flying, highlighted by Raging Force’s recent Rosehill win and Tashi’s Group 1 Tattersall’s Tiara (1400m) success at Eagle Farm.

“That was the highlight of the year,” Snowden said.

Cassiel ($5) and California Sunrise ($14) will represent the stable at Randwick.
