Best bet – Race 1 #8 Calculated $2.05 bet now

Value bet – Race 4 #7 Vienna Romance $8 bet now

Race 1 – 12:50PM MAIDEN HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

No. 8 Calculated was sent straight to the paddock after finishing sixth on debut earlier this year. He is a very talented colt who has trialled well on both occasions this time in. Bowman will put this colt just behind. No. 3 Blazeray ran on well on debut  at this track. The Waller stable will have him fitter now and I expect this horse to be in a more positive position from the draw. No. 1 League Of Nations strips fitter after a nice run first-up. He is a nice colt, but he will need some luck from the draw.

Back the 8 to win $2.05 bet now

Race 2 – 1:25PM BENCHMARK 67 HANDICAP (1250 METRES)

No. 3 Miss Que came from near last to score a very Impressive win at this track on debut. She has had a nice recent trial to keep her ticking over and the rise in trip looks ideal for this animal. No. 5 Long Time Ago won like a very smart horse first-up last prep, but then finished down the track in the Light Fingers. Her two trials have been very good, but I am a little bit worried about her on the soft track. No. 2 Picardy Rose is a nice horse in the making who has drawn to get every chance today, but I think she needs a bigger track and a senior jockey.

Back the 3 to win $4.20 bet now

Race 3 – 2:05PM MAIDEN HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

No. 7 Soothing is another Lonhro galloper who has trialled very good leading into her debut run. She needs luck from the draw, but she is well above average and we should see her attacking the line strongly. No. 1 Boorooj Was ok first-up, but I thought she would have finished off better. She will be fitter now and the rise in trip is a big tick. No. 13 Velocano had no luck on debut, so just ignore that run. If she can get some luck from the draw than she should be right in the finish at big odds. No. 4 Ballet Baby has trialled well and I expect a big performance from the girl on debut.

Back the 7 to win $2.30 bet now and have something small each way on the 13 at $31 bet now

Race 4 – 2:40PM BENCHMARK 72 HANDICAP (1100 METRES)

No. 7 Vienna Romance has been good in all three runs back this prep and this should find this race a lot easier. Her wet track form is good, she has drawn well and her only run at this track was very good. No. 4 Chatuchak has had two nice trials this time in, so she should be ready to fire fresh. Drawn well. No. 8 Volante didn’t really handle the very heavy track here last start, but I though her effort was still very good. She is ready to peak now and this mare should lob into a lovely position from the draw.

Back the 7 each way $8 bet now

Race 5 – 3:15PM BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP (1580 METRES)

No. 3 Live To Dream is a lightly race filly who has won her last three races in very nice style. She is going to find this race a lot harder, but she has proven herself on all track conditions, drawn well and the rise in trip looks perfect. No. 2 Steyne won well first-up at Newcastle. Fitter now, but the big weight and wide barrier concern me. No. 7 Belridge didn’t beat much last start, but I liked the way this horse attacked the line. Belridge is fit and the soft conditions are perfect.

Small bet on the 3 to win $4.20 bet now

Race 6 – 3:50PM BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP (1900 METRES)

No. 4 Obsidian backs-up after sticking on well in a nice race in town on Saturday. His first-up run was very good, he has drawn to get a lovely run and his class should take him a long way. No. 8 Devil Hawk hasn’t done much in both runs back this prep, but he should be ready to fire now that he is fitter. No. 6 Reiby The Red was very good in town last start and he is going to really appreciate the drop back in class today. He is rock hard fit, but the wide barrier is a concern.

Back the 4 to win $5 bet now and have something small each way the 8 at $19 bet now

Race 7 – 4:25PM BENCHMARK 72 HANDICAP (1250 METRES)

No. 3 Dorf Star improved with every run last prep and I though his first-up run this time in suggested that he is in for a nice prep. Clarry will have him fitter now and barrier four ensures a gun run throughout. No. 5 Mana scored a nice win a this track last start and his recent trials suggests that he is still ticking along well this prep. Bowman will give this gelding every chance to win two in a row. No. 1 Bolero King is a handy galloper who won well at Gosford first-up. His second-up record is good and the 3kg claim is a big help. No. 6 Wahng Wah has been racing well in tougher grade, so she must be included in everything.

Small bet on the 3 each way $11 bet now
