Diddle Dumpling remains unbeaten this prep as Storm The Ramparts fires again

Diddle Dumpling kept her perfect preparation intact with a gutsy all-the-way win in the The Agency Real Estate Handicap (1300m) at Rosehill.

Owned by John Singleton, the four-year-old is showing newfound maturity this campaign, with co-trainer Gerald Ryan praising her improved attitude.

“She has settled a lot in the brain this time around,” Ryan said.

“Push the button like that on her before and you’d never get her to come back… but she came back to Tim (Clark) nicely today.”

After a first-up win at Gosford, Diddle Dumpling ($6.50) proved too slick again, defeating Golden Straand ($13) by a length, with Codetta ($5.50 fav) close behind in third.

Ryan hinted black type could be on the radar: “She handles wet ground… a couple of those early mares races in August and September might be alright for her.”

Later on the card, Storm The Ramparts continued his strong form, leading throughout to win under 62.5kg.

Trainer Joe Pride is eyeing the July Sprint, saying, “I’m sure there is no Eduardo in the race this year.”
