Blind Freddy saw that ESTIKHRAAJ was a certainty beaten last start but it’s the way you have to ride this 7yo as when he sees clear room too early he doesn’t see to find the line. With the favourite a query at this distance and just a little bit more luck and the Waller trained gelding can record another win.

COUNTRY COCKTAIL trialled impressively prior to debuting in October when nothing went right after blowing the jump away. Tony Gollan has given her a little break and she returned to the trials and again she looked the part of a filly with well above average ability. Jim Byrne partnered her in the trial and he sticks with her.

OUTBACK BARBIE resumes off an eleven week break and with her class should be able to round this lot up and be ready for the Queensland summer riches. Tony Gollan’s filly has raced against far superior opposition and judging by her recent barrier trial only bad luck will stop her from returning in winning fashion.
