Race 2             Number 1                   RECKLESS CHOICE

Race 7             Number 3                   HAPPY HOOVES

Race 1

Hoping to kick the day off with a bit of value with the Kelly Schweida trained mare Hidden Budget who has been racing in great heart and was rewarded with a strong win last start at Gatton. She will roll forward and if she gets a nice time and can kick like last start she will take some running down. Golden Sheaf turned in a big effort to win here last start over this distance and although facing a little more depth she must be considered a major player. Heat Shield and Real Sting looks the next couple capable of figuring.

5 – 8 – 1 – 2

Race 2

Reckless Choice returns from a seven week freshen up off the back of a smart trial at Doomben over the 1000m to keep him up to the mark. Last campaign he went all the way up in trip to 1800m but I think he better suited back to the 1350m today and with only  small field I think he can round them up. Cyclone Path will strip fitter for his first up run while Grand Whisper from gate one and a nice barrier trial is expected to race well first up.

1 – 3 – 4 – 2

Race 3

Satyricon is still a maiden after eight starts but this looks her day against a moderate bunch. From a nice gate and the claim for Corey Bayliss looks to have her well placed to throw the maiden tag away. Satisfied was passable the other day at the Gold Coast when second albeit beaten over six lengths while Kerema Mori did some work last start and battled ok but today she has drawn ideally.

5 – 2 – 1 – 3

Race 4

Following the scratching it has left the David Vandyke trained filly Asharani as clear favourite and the one to beat. She has done a good job at both her barrier trial wins. The first she snuck up along the fence and cruised through then the latest she settled rearward before coming down the middle. She is the one to beat but too short for my liking at $1.45. If Rains Aplenty regains his best race form he can play a role while Pinch Vista has certainly done a good job and looks a nice type in winning his two trials.

6 – 4 – 2 – 1

Race 5

With the favourite being withdrawn this morning just taking a little of the speed out I have switched to El Shaday who is looking for three wins on the trot and from barrier one and the step up in distance he looks the one to beat. Tivoli Street will be the one coming hard from the back if they overdo it up front. Allena was able to beat Tivoli Street last start and with a good run here she can easily win again.

1 – 2 – 3 – 6

Race 6

Splitter has been costly on a few occasions winning only one from ten but maybe this preparation is the one she stands tall and goes on with it. She has raced here five times for four second placings and if she has taken improvement from her first up second she will give a big sight here. The fav Cool Mover was dominant winning first up at the Gold Coast and is sure to be hard to run down. Sister Patti has a bit of class and she can easily play a big role here without surprising especially from the nice draw.

9 – 3 – 1 – 5

Race 7

Happy Hooves returned from a 4 ½ month break with a solid run when he had improvement to come and now drops back to a BM65 but also drops a ½ kilo due to the claim for Corey Bayliss. If he gets a little luck early he should be hard to hold out. Tabbing is racing in great heart and only needs to repeat his last start win here to be in the mix again. All Troops and Piper Boy look the other winning chances.

3 – 1 – 2 – 10
