Knobelas keeps OTI’s winning run rolling after Royal Ascot triumph

Just hours after Docklands claimed the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot, OTI Racing colours were back in the winner’s circle—this time at Sandown.

Knobelas, trained by Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr, delivered a dominant 3¼-length win in the Stow Storage Solutions Handicap (1600m) on Wednesday.

Ridden by Jordan Childs, the $2.35 favourite defeated All Business ($8.50), with Colour Our Word ($6) finishing third.

“It was very similar to last time,” Kent Jnr said.

“She got her own way in front… She’s got a very good turn of foot… that was quite impressive.”

The win was Knobelas’ second from just three starts.

Kent Jnr praised the filly’s progression, saying immaturity had delayed her debut but she was now ready for winter racing.

“I just love her change up gear and that’s going to win you more races than not,” he said.

A tilt at the Silver Bowl Series Final at Flemington on July 5 is under consideration.
