Knobelas will step up in class again this weekend as she lines up in the Silver Bowl Series Final at Flemington.

Trainer Mick Price is confident the promising three-year-old can handle the challenge, following two dominant wins over the mile.

The Belardo filly caught the eye on debut at Pakenham when charging home late for second, before comfortably winning her next two starts over 1600m.

“She’s going well, Knobelas,” Price said.

“We had a very big opinion of her when we first bought her from New Zealand but then she had an issue and needed tie-forward surgery.”

Ben Melham gave her a positive workout on Saturday, though whether he or J Kah Melham takes the ride will depend on her final weight.

“She’s an average track worker, better on race day,” Price said.

While black-type races could be on the horizon, Price hinted she’ll likely head to the paddock after Saturday.

“We’ll be happy to build her rating at this point,” he said.
